City notebook • July 15, 2026
Miami is home, but it never stands still. Some days move from calls and fittings to a few quiet minutes by the water—and those are often the moments I remember.

Miami has a funny way of making a full day feel like three different days. The morning can begin with coffee, messages, and a call sheet. By afternoon I am crossing the city for a fitting. Then the light changes, the water turns silver, and suddenly the whole day feels softer.
I used to think the important parts were the scheduled ones. Now I know some of my favorite memories happen in the spaces between them: taking the long way along the water, finding ten quiet minutes in the sun, or laughing over a late lunch because the morning ran longer than anyone expected.
This city is home, so I know its rhythms. I know how quickly a clear sky can become dramatic, how one neighborhood can feel completely different from the next, and how the evening seems to invite everyone outside. Even after traveling, Miami still knows how to surprise me.
Work here carries its own energy. There is color, movement, heat, and a little bit of beautiful unpredictability. I try not to fight that. I let it into the pictures, the clothes, and the way I move through the day.
When a day becomes crowded, I like to end near the ocean. Nothing elaborate—just a little air, a slower pace, and enough time to hear myself think. It reminds me that a life in motion still needs pauses. Miami gives me both, usually in the very same afternoon.
